Neil Young Journeys - A Film by Jonathan Demme

Would you like to win a Neil Young "Journeys" film DVD or Bluray?

Thanks to the good folks at Sony Classics Pictures, we are offering a contest prize of one "Journeys" DVD and one Bluray.

The "Neil Young Journeys" video is officially theatrical released today and can also be ordered on Amazon.com now.

Directed by Jonathan Demme, Journeys captures Neil Young's 2011 solo tour to Toronto's Massey Hall. Concert footage of the Massey Hall performances is interspersed with scenes from a road trip through Ontario. Driving a 1956 Ford Crown Victoria, Young visits the rural town of Omemee, where he spent a key part of his formative years, and reminisces about his former neighbors. As he drives past the dramatically changed landscape, Young fondly embraces his memories of the past.

  1. Looking forward to seeing this! Going to buy a copy though - can't wait till November! ;-)

By the way, off-topic: did anyone get a good rip of the Austin webcast? There are two versions on dimeadozen, but one is incomplete and the other has over-compressed audio (Neil would go nuts if he knew how bad it sounds!).

Please upload to dime if you have a better version!

  13. No Regio B Blu-Ray? That's ridiculous! It's 2102 for God's sake... I refuse to buy a lesser quality DVD if a Blu-Ray version is available. No wonder people download stuff... I know I will.

  14. Does anyone know if the DVD version of Journey's is in high quality 24 bit audio? Because I noticed that the Blu Ray audio on this one(24/96) is the same sound quality as on DVD-audio.
