Baby Scout meets Neil
(Click photo to enlarge)

There comes a time in everyone's life to meet Neil Young.

Some are introduced to Neil Young's music earlier than others.

Baby Scout ... meet Neil.

Thanks Garrett. Looks like the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

Ask Scout to check back in with us in about 16 years.

  2. I am taking my 5 and 8 year old boys to Farm Aid. I am not sure if it is the right move, but I wanted to show my boys my favorite musician and this seems like as good an event as any. Anybody bringing kids to Farm Aid?

  4. Hey Adam - while I totally get your decision to bring your kids to Farm Aid, you're setting yourself up for disappointment if they start to lose it and you're forced to leave just as Neil steps onstage...good luck though...I hope some drunk jerk doesn't spill beer on them or worse...

  5. i can think of a million other places a 5 and 8 year old boy might want to be with their Daddy. Are you ready to give them attention when they need it? Like when it's time to leave or use the potty, it's time to leave or use the potty. Leaving Pearl Jam concert right now. Ended with RITFW ... Didn't see any kids around.

    1. If its hot, the kiddies will need lots of water which means they will have to pee. Those portable potties are awful. Once you leave your spit, thats it. Honestly, leave the kids at home. It always worries me when I see kids at an adult venue especially when it's possible that things might get out of control. The crowd pushing to get a better look not aware of stepping on a child. I draw the line at the Bridge concert but even there I saw parents who should have left their kids at home. I see parents who totally get it and parents who don't.

Want to get close to Neil and his music? Take the kids on a nature hike or go fishing. Afterwards in the car on your way to the local Whippy Dip to get a frozen custard roll down the windows and crank it up ....

  7. I'd like to see this redone as "There comes a time to meet Slayer," and replace the Comes a Time album cover with Reign in Blood.

    HA!

    Okay, sorry.

This is very nice. It's a beautiful picture, and a great sentiment.
