  5. Hey T, great that you went there but I did feel a bit the same as they guy that posted about the 3 minutes on NPR earlier. For me that was breaking news. Best NY news in 400 years. They sound so extremely good. But you can't post everything. Anyway, I only want wish you a good time the next month. So much new Neil. And much more new Neil will come up after people start reading the book.... Hope you can handle all the news.

  6. It's time to stage an intervention. We all know Pegi won't do it because she lets Neil do whatever, and she is no stranger to fat either. Reference the photos of when Neil received the Musicares award less than 3 years ago. They were both piggies then. Skinny spider legs, fat spider belly.
I think it was at that award speech that Neil said he was inspired by Tony Bennett's longevity. Good idea - Tony takes care of himself, nice and trim.
Neil gave up working out around the time of LWW, he said to shake things up. Well times have changed and things need another shakeup. Just last summer at the final festival date Buffalo Springfield did, Neil was looking fine. His weight is all over the place, but lately it's mostly around his waist. Lots of people gain weight when they quit drinking or smoking. And let's hope he doesn't replace intoxicants with cigarettes. But the fat has to go. If you want Neil to live long and continue to bless us, speak out. Let him know how much he means to you. Tell him the only thing he has to lose by getting fit is the fat. Maybe his muscular performances are on their way out, but his muscle shouldn't be. Time to hit the gym. Resurrect the gym trailer if he needs to. His longevity will outweigh the CO2 hit. We need fit Neil to live another 25 years, not fat Neil to check out unexpectedly. In a country of fat people, take a stand, Neil. Stop digging your grave with your fork. Show us the way.

  9. Fat Man

Don't want to be a fat man,
people would think that I was
    just good fun.
Would rather be a thin man,
I am so glad to go on being one.
Too much to carry around with you,
no chance of finding a woman who
will love you in the morning and all the night time too.

Don't want to be a fat man,
have not the patience to ignore all that.
Hate to admit to myself half of my problems
    came from being fat.
Won't waste my time feeling sorry for him,
I seen the other side to being thin.
Roll us both down a mountain
and I'm sure the fat man would win.

  14. the fire is still in the belly, somewhere in there, not sure if his aneurysm had anything to do with it but in 2004 when he performed with Bruce, he was lean and menacing, then all of he sudden it was like he had suddenly aged and put on weight. I must say you can still be fit carrying weight and Neil always gives his best and fat or not still is the best rocker approaching 70 on the planet. His next project could be Living With Flab - Waging war on double chins
