Tonight's the night... Thrasher's Wheat Radio will make its debut broadcast.

Starting tonight, Saturday, August 18 at 9:00 PM EST, the Thrashers Wheat Radio Hour launches, where feedback is back! Every week we'll ride the rusty human highway to bring you the best Neil Young news and reviews, rumors and musings....plus rare and unreleased tracks that will keep you rockin' in the free world!

Thrashers Wheat Radio Hour is presented and produced each week by WBKM.org in the heart of Burlington, Vermont.

Some suggestions for listening. Go to WBKM.org a few minutes before the broadcast/stream begins. In the upper right hand corner (the flower) click to launch. A small plugin applet will load and then launch your media player.

If you have technical problems, either email wbkm@comcast.net or comment below.

We would definitely like your feedback on the program. Drop us a comment.

Also, a podcast will be posted soon after broadcast. Details TBD.

In the meantime, here's our rockin' little promo:

Thanks again to Eric & Tony at WBKM.org for making this happen. It's been a long time coming and we hope this all works out.

And, in case you're wonderin', this is something totally different from the essential & legendary Rust Radio.

Don't Be Denied.

  3. Great expectations! It won't be easy for us Europeans to stay awake in the middle of the night to listen to NY-hour,but I will try not to miss it, especially the first one. I hope you arange the archive for non-current listeners soon, otherwise my next Sunday mornings would be mainly slept off.
And yes, dear Thrasher, congratulations, and wish for a good start!

  15. A nice way to ease into Sunday morning - will tune in next weekend as well. I was actually a bit startled when it ended, could've easily kept going for longer. Nothing against Pink Floyd, though, I'm still listening to Floydian Slip...

  17. I agree, nice mix, especially when I consider a non Neil Rustie listening and getting exposed to new Neil music. I think this could be very enjoyable for the casual listener to get some Neil coverage!
