Complete Neil Young's "Le Noise - The Film" on YouTube -
The full length video of Neil Young's Le Noise is now posted on YouTube.
Directed by Adam Vollick.
Crank it.
And here's our Blu-Ray Tip of the Moment....
Play this video using your Blu-Ray player! We cued this up last night and cranked to "11" on our audio/video system and it ROCKED!
We try and do this with high resolution YouTube videos rather than play and listen thru crappy computer speakers while watching a little tiny square.
Now navigating URL's is tricky with the Sony PS-3. So what we do is that we have Thrasher's Wheat bookmarked on our Blu-Ray. So we just go to the TW bookmark and scroll to the video and play. Viola!
And you can really hear those sonics now.

Thank you for your participation, cooperation, and keep on rockin'!
this is awesome but I wonder why it wasn't included with the album like he's done in the past. hopefully it will be on the blu-ray if that ever comes out.
ReplyDeletein the meantime, install the easy youtube video downloader addon for firefox and you can save the 720p mp4, 785MB.
I installed the 1-Click YouTube Video Downloader this morning and then downloaded Neil's Film, but now all I have is the music, but no video. What did I do wrong? Would be thankful for some help!
ReplyDeleteyou either downloaded the wrong file, some downloaders will give you the option of audio only, or you do not have the right video codec on your computer and may need to download a codec pack. the standard k-lite codec pack with default settings should work.
ReplyDeleteNeil has to be the most innovative rocker EVER. Puts out the album film of live studio recording of the whole dang thing for free. Nobody does this. NOBODY.
ReplyDeleteI'll walk with ya Neil. You definately ain't alone. What a deal.
...I'm so happy!!! This time it worked! Thank you, Xanthene, indeed I downloaded the wrong file at first.
ReplyDeleteLove, Liza
The visual equivalent of the sonics on the record - expansive yet intimate, and shot through with an aura of light.
ReplyDeleteI just spent my lunchtime cranking Le Noise and watching the entire video. I am a Happy Zak!
ReplyDeleteps.to Neil, Thrasher & all...

ReplyDelete@Xanthene - I understand this will be on the BluRay and DVD (for us non-millionaires!) editions.
ReplyDeleteThis is really a fantastic film that makes the album complete. I would almost say that Le Noise is a movie instead of an album. The movie makes it all one song. Very well done and much better than the separated parts that were already visible on U-tube and over here on TW. Congratulations NY and LeNoise crew.
ReplyDeletewell, the more i'm playin' le noise ..the more i'm likin' it
ReplyDeleteunusual when ya like every song on an album...but i think its happening on this one!
A Neiler forever!!

Great video, thanks Thrasher! And yes, 'Le Noise' is awesome!
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know when we can expect the CD+DVD version? Or should I just get the single CD one now?
Thanks in advance and, on another note, here's my latest blog post on Neil: http://rustedshadows.blogspot.com/2010/09/dont-be-denied-neil-youngs-2000s.html
Hope you enjoy and any feedback is welcome!
I've been trying to watch this, but can't get past the massive difference in audio quality between it and the CD. All those huge low tones turn into a static hiss when they're overly compressed. The cinematography is beautiful, as are the psychedelic effects. I'm looking forward to the DVD.
ReplyDeleteIs the audio on the blu ray film the same as on the cd? Thanks.
