In honor of the Gulf of Mexico which is now out of the blue and into the black, The New Retro perform a rendition of Neil Young's classic, Hey Hey My My.
The song features shocking facts about the oil spill in an effort to promote the Gulf of Mexico benefit gig at U Street Music Hall Washington, DC on August 14, 2010. Proceeds from the show will go to Louisiana Marine Mammal & Sea Turtle Rescue Program.

The tragedy of the Gulf spill is not the life forms that will be lost forever, the tragedy is that it is preventable.

ReplyDeleteSynapses are essential to neuronal function: neurons are cells that are specialized to pass signals to individual target cells, and synapses are the means by which they do so. At a synapse, the plasma membrane of the signal-passing neuron (the presynaptic neuron) comes into close apposition with the membrane of the target (postsynaptic) cell.
I used the term allegorically (look it up) to express the passage of a thought, or series of thoughts into the blogosphere at a pazrticular moment, as well as respond to Anonymous's posting of 7:51 PM.
