I hadn't seen that before. That was pure muscle. Neil muscled that version of Free World right into Bruce's jaunty, urban fairytale scene. That was thick and leathery.
ReplyDeleteThe comment about the difference between Bruce & Neil is good fodder. Neil certainly comes off that way. Bruce always seems to be climbing to mountain tops. Neil just walks long, winding paths.
He writes his own rules and lives them to the letter. Everyone else just hopes to be invited into the room once and a while.
A great video. Neil you do rock our harts. Come back to Ireland and do a solo tour. Neil is our man if he can not do it knowone cane.

Thanks for that Thrasher - two great masters at work (and play!). I love Bruce but it sort of shows who is most in awe of the other! Not wishing to open up that old chestnut again of course, lol.

ReplyDeleteI saw Wilco in Montclair, NJ on Friday - Bruuuuuuce - and they did a stuuning rendition of Broken Arrow. Since breaking it out in February, this has been the tenth time Wilco covered this gem, according to Wilcobase. The youngish crowd showed little sign of recognition, but the tune was well received in the end. I was psyched that I got a chance to see and hear it and Wilco didn't disappoint. There is something about New Jersey, Keep on Rockin' In The Garden State! Art
