ReplyDeleteIs the website to check when they decide to not put out the Archives? Just wanted to know what to call this shortcut when I add it.
ReplyDeleteWhy is the Archives site just a picture? I already knew what it looked like lol
ReplyDeletein reply to Archives questions:
ReplyDeleteWe have been reading a media report elsewhere on the Web that makes claims to the effect that release of the Archives is "Delayed Again". This article also takes speculation and turns it into fact for the media and fan base.
You can read the article here. I'm sure that an intelligent reader will see what we are talking about.

In the meantime, you can sleep at night knowing that NYA Vol 1 has been completed in BD, DVD, CD and Digital Download editions. The only thing remaining is announcement of a street date.
The launching of our new Archives website has been delayed briefly as our team is busy with a short tour, production of new music videos for the Web and finishing touching on a new album.
Please don't believe these random news stories that you see on the Web. Their story lines are most often based on assumptions, small talk and searching for an angle that will draw readers.
In the meantime, there are new songs to listen to as well as new music videos, Lincvolt Updates and live concerts. That is a lot of positives to focus on.

Archives Guy - you are a legend!

I have stayed away from commenting on the Archives release because I expect it to be delayed until Neil is bored enou8gh to release it.
ReplyDeleteI have doubt that it is complete in all formats but that has nothing to do on when it will be released. Even the Archives Guy latest post hints that it will be delayed while trying to assure us not to believe the media reports. Who knows what the truth is anymore.
If it will be delayed then just tell us AG.

I don't believe it. I'm sorry but Neil Young has been talking about this massive archive projects since the late 1970s! In all that time what have we ever seen? A few scattered live albums. And that's it. He has hinted at hundreds of unreleased songs, buried masterpieces, etc. But whereas Bob Dylan has actually brought out several volumes of lost treasures, Neil continually puts it off -- keeping fans waiting and wondering, hoping that maybe, in 2010... etc. Don't get me wrong. I'd love to see and hear this wonderful project. I just don't believe Neil has as much up his sleeve as he claims. Would love to be proven wrong though.
ReplyDeletesigned, Mike from Fresno
I agree with Mike From Fresno's comments for the most part. The sad thing for me is Neil seems to take most career moves directly from Dylan but not this time. The Archives were supposed to be unreleased stuff according to the talk in the early 90s and now what do we get - 30 unreleased songs with regular album tracks for the most part? Kind of like the greatest hits packages a number of singers have put out with 1 or 2 unreleased songs for the fanatics.
ReplyDeleteDon't forget the greedy hand, Neil.
