Over on the CSNY 4waysite.com is an exclusive interview with Dallas Taylor best known as the drummer on CSN's album of 1969 and on "Déjà Vu". Web-site founder Dolf van Stijgeren writes:
For CSNY he is now a persona non grata and Tells me Y...
In this interview he tells many wonderful stories before this was true and he offers many details previously unknown!
A few quotes:
"It was Neil that would take his stuff home after we laid down the basic tracks. Then he brought them back for CSN vocals. Very weird."
"Jimi Hendrix and I were fighting over the same girl"
"It was my closeness with Stephen that got me fired. Neil couldn't stand Stephen!"
"I liked Jim Morrison"
"David had an ego to fill Dodger Stadium, but was a talented songwriter"

  1. Sounds like sour grapes to me,he shouldnt be mad because he doesnt write any of the songs. Hes just a drummer who wanted too much for nothing basicly.yes hes a good drummer but fuck, look who he was in a band with.Hes lucky for anything he got.

  2. Hey Dallas, why dont you stop blaming everyone for your musical failures and stop trashing musicians that actually have creative talent. Its not there fault you dont write songs you just beat a drum with 2 sticks.Neil is the Deal.

  3. What do they say? Never trust a junkie?
How many years and how much was reality was shaped by that perception.?

  4. Any person who goes around talking about how bad other people have been to them has real problems. I thought that people who work at sobriety are supposed to make amends to the people who had to put up with them during the years of using drugs/alcohol and move on with their lives. I would wager that there is more to the story than what Mr. Taylor is admitting. He spends so much time making himself out to look like a victim that I question his intentions and quite frankly his ability to counsel others in recovery. Gratitude is what he should have. I don't think we would even know who Dallas Taylor was had it not been for the talents of CSNY. Mr. Taylor I use to really respect the work you did with CSNY , Manassas, and Stephen Stills. However, I just can't take you anymore.
